The West Pump Station is a small water facility on the southwestern edge of Vegas, southeast of New Vegas Steel, northwest of the Basincreek Building and directly east of Vault 3. It is a small industrial building with a wrecked red truck rusting out front, and it sits inside Fiend territory rather than under NCR guard. Inside are an office and a pump room.
Three Fiends hold the building, one in the office and two in the pump room. The office terminal controls four pumps, and passing a Science 50 check restores its network connection for 50 XP and shows that the pumped water is contaminated with radioactive material, a clue tied to the NCR quest Hard Luck Blues. Entering counts as trespassing and taking items costs Karma. It pairs naturally with a visit to New Vegas Steel and the South Vegas ruins.
How to get there
From Camp McCarran head southwest a short way; the station is southeast of New Vegas Steel and directly east of Vault 3, with a wrecked red truck out front.
Tips
- Three Fiends wait inside, one in the office and two in the pump room.
- Pair with New Vegas Steel and the South Vegas ruins for a sweep of the area.
