The Basincreek Building is a gutted office block southwest of the Vegas outskirts, a short distance northeast of the Samson Rock Crushing Plant and west of the Allied Technologies offices. Its concrete shell and empty window frames stand alone on the flats, a reminder of the business parks that once ringed the city. The location is small and easy to overlook, but it sits on a path many players use to cross from McCarran toward the west.
Inside, giant soldier ants, worker ants and radroaches have taken over. The ground floor has a rubble-strewn reception, a collapsed room full of ants, an office behind an Easy lock and a flooded bathroom, while the second floor office is cut off by debris. In front of the locked door at the back lies the note Help me!, left by a worker who locked himself in his office before the war. Loot is light office junk, and the area is within Fiend reach from Vault 3, so stay alert. Combine the visit with the Samson plant and the Ant Mound nearby to clear this cluster in one trip.
How to get there
From Camp McCarran head southwest toward the Samson Rock Crushing Plant; the office block stands alone on the flats west of the Allied Technologies offices.
Tips
- Giant soldier ants nest inside; fight them from the doorway rather than in the open reception.
- Combine with the Samson plant and the Ant Mound for a quick sweep of the area.
