Part of The Fort

Caesar's tent is really four tents set around an open-air throne room on the summit of the Fort. The entrance works as a checkpoint where Praetorian Guards and Legion mongrels stand watch, and only the Courier may go in. War rooms with map-covered tables flank the main hall, and behind the throne are Caesar's bed, an Auto-Doc Mark III and a locked footlocker.

Caesar and his bodyguard Lucius are always here, along with four Praetorians armed with ballistic fists. Depending on earlier choices, you may also find Vulpes Inculta, Benny if he survived the Tops, or Arcade Gannon if you sold him into slavery. This is where Caesar explains his plans in Render Unto Caesar and asks for help with his failing health in Et Tumor, Brute?

For the operation, pass 50 then 75 Medicine, or 60 then 65 Speech, to diagnose his brain tumor, then either do it yourself with surgical tools and a doctor's bag or repair the Auto-Doc with a diagnostic module from Vault 34. The tent also holds the Legion slave ledger that can sway Regis in Oh My Papa, and the Very Hard footlocker contains 2,000 caps and a T-45d power helmet.

How to get there

Take the barge from Cottonwood Cove to the Fort and climb the hill past the arena to the summit.

  • Fighting here means facing Lucius and the Praetorians at point-blank range; plan your exit first.
