East Pump Station

The East Pump Station is a small NCR facility that filters water piped in through a large pipe and sends it on to the NCR Sharecropper Farms. It sits between Vault 34 and the farms, just west of the monorail track, on the outskirts of the farmland; a matching West Pump Station lies far to the west, near Vault 3. Two entrances to the East Central Sewers are close by, one east of the building and one to the northwest near some traffic cones and barrels.

Inside are two rooms. The office has a damaged terminal that needs 50 Science to repair, and it can start Hard Luck Blues, the quest that traces radiation in the farm water back to Vault 34. The second room holds nothing of note. A pipe links the station to the East Cistern, which has junk, a few Nuka-Cola bottles, a copy of Fixin' Things on a desk beside a broken terminal and a valve that gives clean drinking water.

No enemies are tied to the station itself, which makes it a handy rest point before the irradiated vault to the east. Fill up on clean water at the cistern valve, especially on Hardcore Mode, then continue on. Durable Dunn's Sacked Caravan lies a short way north along Highway 93, and Aerotech Office Park is a short walk to the south if you need people and trade.
