King's School of Impersonation

The King's School of Impersonation is the headquarters of the Kings, the gang that keeps rough order on Freeside's streets. Before the war it taught people to imitate Elvis Presley, with holotapes, costumes and lessons on his voice, moves and favorite foods. A tribe that refused Mr. House's terms found the building, decided to model themselves on the man they called the King, and became the Kings. It stands southeast of the Atomic Wrangler in Freeside's south section.

The reception has couches and a counter crowded with Kings. To the left is a theater where Pacer blocks the way and asks for caps before you can see the King, though a 60 Speech check gets you in free and the King pays you back anyway if you mention it. The King watches the show with his cyberdog Rex. The rest of the building is three floors of bedrooms, bathrooms with clean water, Sergio's barber chair and the King's own bedroom with a heart-shaped bed.

The King gives G.I. Blues, a string of jobs around Freeside that leads into the growing trouble between the Kings and the NCR and ends with a favor from him, then Nothin' But a Hound Dog, where you find a new brain for Rex, who then joins you as a companion. Ambassador Crocker's Kings' Gambit also leads here. The King carries the unique Viva Las Vegas and Sergio the Figaro straight razor, and the third floor stores 32 Kings outfits and three Jailhouse Rockers.
