Long 15

The Long 15 is the stretch of Interstate 15 beyond the Mojave Outpost that the NCR used as its supply line from California into the Mojave. It only opens up at the end of Lonesome Road: if the Courier launches the Divide's nuclear missiles at NCR territory alone, or at both the NCR and the Legion, the gate in the southwestern corner of the Mojave Outpost leads out onto the blasted highway and its impact crater.

From the gate the road splits northwest and southwest around the crater. Ghoulified troopers hold the northwest stretch, while a gate to the southwest opens on a wrecked camp with a small firing range, ruined buildings, overturned trucks and several crashed vertibirds. At the end of the camp road, beside a destroyed medical aid station, waits Colonel Royez, now a marked man himself, wearing the unique Scorched Sierra power armor and carrying a plasma caster.

Irradiated heavy troopers and glowing trooper ghouls fill the area and heal in the radiation. The caches are richer than most in the Mojave: five sets of NCR Ranger combat armor on dead troopers, NCR salvaged power armor, three high-tech gun cases, weapon mods by the firing range and a metal box with random advanced armor. Killing Royez and his troopers does not cost NCR reputation, and companions can follow you here.
