Nevada Highway Patrol Station

The Nevada Highway Patrol Station is a small police post on Interstate 15 south of Primm, easy to spot by the black-and-white patrol cars out front and the tall billboard pillar to the north. The Jackals use it as an outpost, with a couple of gang members and their leader patrolling outside. When you first arrive, two escaped convicts on the highway warn you off and then head over to fight the Jackals, and feral ghouls drift in from the hills to the west.

Two more Jackals wait inside, usually with melee weapons. The building has an office and break room, a hallway with bathrooms, and a jail at the back where a dead prospector lies among giant mantis nymphs that live alongside the gang. A copy of Guns and Bullets sits on a desk in the first room, and a star bottle cap lies next to the prospector. One patrol car outside holds two suitcases with pre-War money and some Jet.

Once the Jackals are gone, the station makes decent player housing. Most of its containers do not respawn, so items you store stay put, and the back room has a reloading bench, an ammo box and a desk with chems. The hallway water fountains give a little radiation with each drink. It is also a convenient stop between Primm, the Nipton Road Reststop and the Mojave Outpost.
