Part of Goodsprings
The Prospector Saloon is the social center of Goodsprings, a pre-War bar that Trudy took over about seven years before the game and still runs. Her standing in town makes her the closest thing Goodsprings has to a mayor, and she trades from behind the counter. Sunny Smiles usually waits near the pool table with her dog Cheyenne, which is where the tutorial quest Back in the Saddle begins.
Come in after the tutorial and you overhear Joe Cobb of the Powder Gangers demanding that Trudy hand over Ringo, which opens Ghost Town Gunfight. Inside are a jukebox, a pool table, Trudy's metal-walled office with a terminal and a small distillery with jugs of moonshine. Copies of Fixin' Things, Meeting People and Salesman Weekly are scattered around the room.
How to get there
Leave Doc Mitchell's house and walk east along the main street; the saloon stands just past the general store.
Notable loot
- .357 Magnum revolver (in a drinking glass behind the bar)
- Fixin' Things, Meeting People and Salesman Weekly skill magazines
- Moonshine jugs (part of Trudy's stock)
