Part of Freeside's East Gate
The Silver Rush is the Van Graff family's energy weapons store in Freeside. It opened as a casino in 2071 and competed with the Atomic Wrangler until the Van Graffs came to the Mojave, threw out the owners and the gaming tables and filled the building with their stock. When the Kings came to complain, the Van Graffs turned a few of them into goo, and the two groups have kept their distance ever since.
Gloria Van Graff runs the store with her brother Jean-Baptiste Cutting, and the counter carries energy weapons, ammunition, plasma grenades and mines. Simon takes every weapon you carry at the door, holdouts included, and returns them when you leave. Five Van Graff thugs guard the inside and deal with thieves at once. The back room holds safes, a locked terminal and the stairs to the living quarters, and the upper floor can also be reached from the ruined building next door.
Gloria gives Birds of a Feather: door duty with Simon, a delivery, a job for Jean-Baptiste, and finally an arms deal with the Legion at the abandoned warehouse that turns into an NCR raid. The store also matters in Cass's Heartache by the Number, where the letter to Gloria in the Hard-locked back room safe is evidence, and the Brotherhood's Tend to Your Business can ask you to wipe the family out. Killing Gloria or reporting the Van Graffs to the NCR turns everyone inside hostile.
How to get there
Enter Freeside and go through the bus gate into the south section; the Silver Rush is in its northwest corner, across the street from the Atomic Wrangler.

Tips
- On your first visit, wait behind the fence while Gloria deals with a customer who owes money; pushing past the guards makes everyone hostile.
- Stealing costs no Karma, but if the guards see it they attack and Birds of a Feather is lost.
