The Tops is the Chairmen's casino in the middle section of the Strip and bills itself as the classic Vegas night out: chips on the tables, drinks at the bar and a show at the Aces theater, with Sinatra on the speakers. The Chairmen used to be the Mojave Boot-Riders tribe. Benny won the leadership in a knife fight and accepted Mr. House's offer, and the tribe moved into the old hotel, renovated it and put on the suits House sent them.
Swank usually stands at the circular lobby desk next to the greeter who collects your weapons. The casino has blackjack, roulette and slots, a cashier on the upper level by the Aces, a restaurant whose Average-locked kitchen holds five Nuka-Cola Quartz, and a pool courtyard. The 13th floor has Benny's suite and the High Roller suite, and an express elevator runs to the presidential suite, which needs a key from Benny or his bodyguards and can become your home.
This is where the main story finds Benny. In Ring-a-Ding-Ding! and The House Always Wins I you confront him on the casino floor, and a hole in the wall of his suite leads to his hidden workshop, where Yes Man starts the Wild Card path. Tommy Torini's Talent Pool sends you around the Mojave hunting for new acts for the Aces. Comps are vodka at 2,500 chips, brahmin steak and wine at 5,000 and the High Roller suite key at 7,500; at 10,000 chips you are banned for good.
How to get there
From the Strip North Gate walk past Gomorrah and the Lucky 38 to the next gate; the Tops is on the west side of the middle section.
