Ulysses' Temple is the missile facility in the northwestern corner of the Divide, west of the wastewater treatment plant, which Ulysses claimed as his temple to the Old World. Three marked men with high-level weapons guard the entrance. In the grotto nearby, detonating the warheads in the cliffs draws out Blade, the last named marked man, who closes in under a Stealth Boy with his Blade of the West and wears the unique marked beast eyes helmet. Entering the temple ends The Divide and starts The Courier.
Inside, a sentry bot and turrets guard the maintenance bay where ED-E sits deactivated in a pod. Free it from the terminal to get your companion back, or leave it and receive the Lonesome Road perk. A rescued ED-E can unlock a last commissary terminal, and an Auto-Doc waits before the main doors. In the launch chamber, Ulysses stands before a flag with a missile counting down. High Speech checks, all six of his logs or ED-E's full story can talk him down; otherwise you fight him and his medical and repair eyebots, which consoles in the missile pits can shut down.
Either way, a horde of marked men storms the chamber next. Afterward, have ED-E abort the launch to finish The End, or aim the missiles at the NCR, the Legion or both in The Apocalypse, which changes the Long 15 and Dry Wells in the Mojave. If Ulysses dies, Old Glory, Ulysses' duster and Ulysses' mask can be taken from his body; copies also turn up in the footlocker at the canyon wreckage once the add-on is done.
How to get there
From the wastewater treatment plant, walk west across the top of the horizontal building and through the debris to the slanted building at the corner of the temple grotto.

Tips
- Free ED-E unless you want the Lonesome Road perk; without him you cannot abort the launch in The End.
- Shutting down or reprogramming Ulysses' eyebots needs 100 Science or Repair, and reprogramming them needs both.
- Heal and repair before the launch chamber: the talk or fight with Ulysses leads straight into waves of marked men and then the launch console.
