Part of Hidden Valley
The Hidden Valley bunker was built by the U.S. Air Force as a shelter and command post for officials in a crisis, hidden by the DERVISH system, which whips up artificial sandstorms over the valley, and powered by a CANDLE fusion reactor meant to run for centuries. After the NCR drove the Mojave Brotherhood of Steel out of HELIOS One in Operation: Sunburst in 2276, the survivors retreated here. Elder Nolan McNamara has kept them in lockdown ever since.
To get in, speak the passphrase from a Brotherhood mission holotape into the intercom, pick the Very Hard lock, bring Veronica or reach the point in a main quest line where you must find the Brotherhood. Without Veronica you are questioned and pushed into Still in the Dark. The first floor has living quarters, a shooting range, Knight Torres's shop, Senior Scribe Schuler's infirmary and a training room. The second has McNamara's command room, Head Paladin Hardin's rooms, the archives, a workshop and the reactor room with VR pods.
McNamara secretly worries that the air filters are failing from all the sand, and the bunker's fate turns on whether you back him or Hardin. The armory below the shooting range holds four T-45d power armor sets, though stealing them takes Torres's key. The reactor room also hides a Very Hard-locked self-destruct terminal that wipes out the chapter and costs heavy Karma.
How to get there
Follow the side road off Long 95 that passes north of the NCR Correctional Facility to the valley's south gate, then find the bunker with the tree stump on top.

Tips
- Bring Veronica for the easiest entry; she talks her way past Paladin Ramos on the intercom.
- Holotapes are found on dead paladins at REPCONN headquarters, in Moe's crater near Black Mountain and in a ditch outside Nellis.
- Four paladins patrol the surface between about 1 and 3 a.m., so watch where you camp nearby at night.
