Hidden Valley is a fenced-off basin of pre-war bunkers south of Vegas, east of Sloan between Black Mountain and the NCR Correctional Facility. The whole area is swept by artificial sandstorms generated to hide what lies beneath: the main bunker of the Mojave chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel. There are four bunkers, one on each side of the valley, but only the west bunker, marked by a tree stump on its roof, hides the elevator down to the Brotherhood. The south bunker is rigged with grenade traps and the north one holds mini nukes behind a locked door.
Inside, Elder McNamara keeps the chapter in lockdown after the disastrous war with the NCR, while Head Paladin Hardin argues for a more aggressive path. To get in, bring Veronica, use the passwords from the Brotherhood mission holotapes carried by dead paladins, or pick the Very Hard lock on the west bunker door. Still in the Dark has you recover holotapes from lost patrols and restore the bunker's failing air filtration, and your choice between McNamara and Hardin decides the chapter's future. Veronica's companion quest I Could Make You Care also plays out here.
The Brotherhood is friendly once you are admitted, but stealing from them will turn the bunker hostile, and paladins in T-51b power armor with Gatling lasers are among the toughest enemies in the game. On the other hand, a good relationship earns Power Armor Training and access to the Brotherhood's vendor. The chapter can be a Hoover Dam ally or can be wiped out through the bunker's self-destruct, depending on how you play.
How to get there
From Sloan head southeast across the desert; the fenced valley of bunkers lies south of Black Mountain, and the Brotherhood's door is in the west bunker under the tree stump.
